Often times, houses started off little more than a shack in some rural areas. As the family grew larger, rooms got added on, when and if they could. My wife grew up in a house like that. Instead, it's the singing of the birds, the humming of the bees and the rustling of the leaves in the wind I can hear filling my ears while my mind adds the illusion of your voice I haven't heard in years. Wordlessly, you just stare into infinity."Hey, I'm... back," I tentatively try. I simply can't get used to you not replying, not hearing the voice I miss so much. "How I wish you could just visit me for a change," I sigh, close to my tears. My sigh is filled with a blunt, frustrated, sober reality.
